Preferred “Porsche Approved” Warranty: Desired Porsche Approved warranty (European coverage).
The search involved reviewing hundreds of “Macan GTS 2020 or 2021” listings in Europe. Through successive iterations, 95% of listings were eliminated due to being incompatible, suspicious, lacking proper history, incomplete pricing (e.g., failing to disclose CO2 import tax in France for imported vehicles), or showing inconsistencies.
The final target narrowed down to 15 German listings (7 Porsche centers and 8 dealers) and one private listing in France.
Detailed validation of each proposal, inquiries in forums, various contacts, and cross-referencing of information led to presenting the client with two final choices from Germany: one from a Porsche center and another from a dealer, both offering Porsche Approved warranty.
A visit was arranged (2 days) with the client, involving a thorough review and test drives. The German Autobahn allowed for pushing the vehicles without limits.
The client chose the vehicle from the dealer, eliminating the Porsche center option due to the expensive maintenance of the PSCB (tungsten carbide) brake option.
Negotiations resulted in a 5% discount, a pre-delivery Porsche inspection, German TUV inspection, and Porsche Approved warranty.
The total cost for the client (excluding advisory services) included all fees and final registration (including CO2 tax): €86,000 with a renewable 1-year warranty. The Macan GTS 2020 with 38,000 km, black/black, in like-new condition, had all essential and important options plus additional features (tow hitch, colored belts). A similar vehicle in France would have cost at least €100,000 without a warranty.
Assistance with financing was provided, and the order was signed with customary reservations (condition on the day of pickup, certificate acquisition, etc.).
Administrative tasks included invoices, certificates, German export plates, fiscal clearance, insurance, VAT, and the vehicle’s repatriation from Germany.
Temporary French registration with WW plates (allowing driving for 4 months) was obtained, followed by the acquisition of the final registration (with a modest CO2 tax of €9,000) and plates.
Connection with professionals for a complete bodywork detailing was facilitated.

This comprehensive advisory service, which was not invoiced for this close client, is estimated to have a value of €3,000 including taxes (excluding travel and vehicle repatriation expenses).
This service facilitated finding the dream vehicle, maximizing validation of the vehicle’s condition before/during/after purchase, confirming the seller’s reliability, securing the transaction, and ensuring future after-sales service. Additionally, it led to significant cost savings. These advantages and financial margin created can potentially be leveraged for resale in France in 2-3 years, likely at least at the purchase price.
